Iwalani Evelyn Rae Walsh Wahinekapu Tseu
A cultural pioneer and fashion icon, is the Executive Director of Hui’Iwa Academy and founder of ‘Iwalani School of Dance Japan and China. A highly respected cultural specialist and advisor, ‘Iwalani has traveled to over 40 countries perpetuating and promoting the Hawaiian arts through cultural music, dance and expression.
‘Iwalani has been a judge for prestigious Hawaii Beauty Pageants and competitions including the Queen Liliuokalani Hula Competition and Ia ‘Oe Ka La and is one of Hawaii’s most sought talent coach. She has been featured in many magazines, commercials and inside cover story for her continued community work through the ‘Iwalani Foundation and the Pu’uhonua O Honouliuli, a healing sanctuary for women afflicted with Breast Cancer.
An excellent keynote speaker for many organizations alike, ‘Iwalani is known for her innovative, daring and creative ideas. Having been in the entertainment industry for over 50 years, ‘Iwalani provides charitable services as a mentor and life coach for many young adults.
One of Hawaii’s premier entertainers, ‘Iwalani continues promoting and encouraging Hawaii’s youth with her program focusing on inner beauty, strength, and development through teachings of values, protocol and etiquette.
Iwalani has 3 bronze statues at the Aloha Tower Marketplace as the Cultural Boat Days Advisor. ‘Iwalani is also known as Hawaii’s Ambassador of Hula and Aloha and is a Living Treasure of Hawaii.
Currently, ‘Iwalani is developing a Healing Garden in Honouliuli, Ewa, called “Pu’uhonua O Honouliuli.” She is also writing a book on Health & Wellness and Breast Cancer Awareness called “Magnificent Women of Hawaii.”

Iwalani Foundation Mission
The Iwalani Foundation provides people of all ethnic groups, regardless of age, gender, and health status, with resources through community outreach to malama I ke kino (take care of the body). The foundation is committed to its purpose as Ka leo o ke ola, the “voice of life.”
The Iwalani Foundation aims to provide a garden for a peaceful and therapeutic retreat. The foundation garden provides a positive environment filled with life and growth, a place for solitude, for visiting with friends who may be cancer survivors, and a place to create happy new memories and good experiences. For those visitors who are able, it is a place to work and nurture plants and garden grounds for others while enjoying its therapeutic benefits firsthand.
